What is vision?
Vision is your ability to see and communicate the business as you want it to be, not as it is. Your ability to get crystal clear on where you are, and where you are going, allows for you to focus on how you’re going to get there, and focus on the action required.

What are the benefits of having a vision?
Vision brings power to your purpose, galvanizing your team with one objective and enough tangible perspective with aspirational energy.
Vision brings your team together. Builds a collective unity that is stronger than one person pushing work at people.
Look at an election, a product, or a process…vision drives people, family, politics, business, and organizations. Stronger vision powers stronger commitment and action.
Magnet 🧲 over hammer 🔨 in leadership.
How do you communicate vision?
By transferring ideas to feelings, transferring energy to action.
Layout where you are as a company, and where you are going.
Show the positivity and benefits coming from that journey, not just the objective
Paint a picture - show a visual of what you mean (Cameron Herold’s "Vivid Vision" concept is great for this).
Use the medium that will make an impact and clearly show your view and path forward

I have done this by using all hands meetings, game plans, org structures, roadmaps, and frameworks. You can use leadership retreats, etc. I do some iteration of this with every company or client I work with.
If you’re interested in bringing your team through the shit, over the bumps, into the fray, and out of the valley, you better have a vision.
Teams who win, win together, and teams come together through vision with purpose to do great things and bring everyone along for the ride.
Vision isn’t just seeing out in the distance, it’s helping others see beyond the daily distractions on what’s possible when we do the work together.
