Impact Driven Leadership
Results and metrics happen through action

Intro
You always hear about the data, you always hear about results, but what do we actually need to do to make those happen, make those matter, and serve the reason we’re in business?
The Story
There is no substitute for action. Only excuses tied to inaction. Productive patience has a place, yet strategic patience, not patience for its own sake. Select, understand, and review your data, but the trick is to blend these facts, insights, trends, and frameworks with your gut feel. Data can show you the facts, the tangible truths, but it doesn’t give you all the context, and it surely doesn’t provide you the full story. Your feel, senses, and intrinsic notions have so much value—be careful with diminishing them. Over time, your senses develop and you generally build a collection of instincts that can serve you quite well to the point you lean on them hard as a guide.
And the more success you have with these instincts, the more you lean on them, but as the market, technology, demand, players, and culture evolve, your instincts may not be quite as strong. So that the key is not going all in on data and not going all in on instincts, but the magic happens when you can blend the two and find the happy medium that gives you the data and instincts power you need for great decision-making and results. How do you gain clarity and from gut feel or instinct is working or not? How do you know? Through action. Action is the key where a lot of people get hung up because they want perfect answers. They want to have that gut feel before they act, but the gut feel comes from action. Great instinct and ability to gain insights from data comes from sign significant action, whether overtime or compounded overtime and in spurts of significant volume. Action leads to extraordinary results and performance. metrics don’t deliver much without instinct in action in parallel, or in a supportive man.
You want your metrics to look great, you want great instincts, want transformative results, you can improve your chances through action. Inaction doesn’t provide you the value of any of those, nor the learning. Action can produce exceptional leaders over time that drive great instincts, metrics, and results. Action drives impact.

More impact. Less semantics on how we get there. That’s the power of leadership.
