Crushing Your Artificial Ceiling
Only you, hold you back

Intro
Raise your ceiling, increase your leadership potential, with an elevated mindset.
Building a $200 million business takes as much smarts, efforts, strong will, dedication, sleepless nights, and entrepreneurial muscle as building a $2 million business. Yet so many aspire for so little because they think it’s more realistic or grounded, when in fact, many are holding themselves back from bigger thinking.
The Story
You hear it over and over again, zero to one is the hard part. Building a $2 million business is not easy and still requires all of this. Sure, the complexity gets challenging at a certain point in a business depending on what you do or what you offer, how it works, things of that nature. But you hear of those who have built over and over again, and they clearly tell us—in their experience building the small company or building a large company…it’s just hard.
I’m sure people would like to debate that all day, but that’s not what this is about. This is about your mindset.
Do you have the leadership mindset to take your organization where you want to take it?
So even if you do have the purpose, vision, the ability to make it happen, have you broadened your horizons to think big?
It’s kind of like the negotiation tactic, where you asked for 50% higher, you’re more likely to get 25% higher. If you shoot for the stars, at least you’ll have a chance to land on the moon, as they say. So why do many of us continue to aim low and achieve lower results—we’re thinking small, and we’re thinking safe. We are trying to live without risk.
In many cases we’re making up risk and we’re just telling ourselves this in order to stay in our safe little box. This isn’t a about how hard something is or what kind of entrepreneurial genius or any tech ability. This certainly isn’t about business expertise. This about you thinking big enough to allow yourself the success that you very well can achieve, and will attain, if you allow it. You put the work in, coupled with the right parameters, you’re giving yourself a chance.
Raise your ceiling, increase your expectations, increase your ability, by developing yourself to reach those expectations.
Closing
Because you’re right, if you don’t think you can make it there today, you’re exactly correct, but that does not mean you can’t get there tomorrow. Keep rolling.

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
